Untitled Trousersnake by rannveigfunderud Untitled Trousersnake by rannveigfunderud
Pointillistic pen on paper, 85x48cm
This is the new big one, enjoy! Ive been working on this hundreds of hours and finally its finished. This time I wanted to put some extra focus on the empty space.

This is a stellar and surreal work. The incorporated images that flow into the patterns are hidden nicely and blend well. There's a very nice range of tones here, however it would have been nice to see dark, dark blacks and light whites. I assume these tones were lost because of the way the piece was scanned or photographed. Also, the piece seems unfinished. My focus gets stuck in the abundance of white spaces. Perhaps you could have put some sort of light texture in the background rather than just white voids. Even black voids would have been preferable. I would continue to work on this piece, at least in some if not all of the areas of negative space. Maybe develop the theme of the small swirls of bubbles in the middle of the piece and repeat it in those areas. Overall, this is a really sick piece. I hope you can get up a higher quality version of this piece in the near future.

Very nicely achieved level of intrinsic detail!... if you could see inside a dream of MC Escher, this is probably how it would look like, I enjoyed how the fish, the snake and the femur-hip are all blended into the swirls!

Such a nice compliment! I'm very happy with this, although the fish and the snake popping up there kindof catches me by surprise every time I look at it :D

I really like lots about it, the fish, the lattice work above it, in contrast to the wonderful swirls, I like the details of the swirls behind the bones and overall just the organic quality, it's reminiscent of a salvia trip :)

I listen to Divine moments of truth and Star Shpongled banner practically every morning. OTT is awesome. I love psytrance as well! I wish they incorporated more Tuvan throat singing into them. Your depiction appears so true to a psychedelic experience I've had. Keep up the great work!

To sum it up: Geometric patterns and textures mixed with melting spirits hehe. I tried to make a song sort of like Shpongle's I guess, if you wanna check it out. [link] It would be cool to see your art colored ^^)
